Redefining the use of IT around Service-Oriented Architecture

Minimimum complexity and maximimum flexibility

Service Orientation marks the culmination of the evolution pf processes from vertical functions, to horizontal processes and now to granular, loosely coupled enterprise services.

The challenge for Business Process Modelling is to provide the business architecture to bridge the gap between the business strategy and the application architecture. This comes in the form of Enterprise Services Modelling.

Enterprise Services Modelling

Unlike traditional approaches Capgemini does not believe in making process maps more and more detailed in order to design IT systems. Instead we focus on configuring 30-70 modules (Enterprise Services) at an Enterprise Level. These modules contain the detailed processes and are hold together by the integration layer (portal, EAI, Web-AS, BW, MDM and BPM).  The goal is to minimize complexity and maximize flexibility.
